Waiting by the phone
Waiting by the phone
tethered all alone
Listening for the ring
that little jing a ling
That special someone's voice
I love without a choice
Time trickles by
Indifferent to my sigh
I know he doesn't care
if I am here or there
Then suddenly I rise
decision in my eyes
I walk on out the door
For I will wait no more!
Actually, I don't think I'll include other poems this time . My mind is on the million other things I must do this afternoon, one of which is to prepare for my booksigning at Bookworld in Chillicothe tomorrow.
I've written hundreds of poems and will share more at a later date.
