After having set her first novel in Wisconsin, Saundra Crum Akers decided to set her mystery suspense novels in small towns in Southern Ohio. These include: Peebles, Waverly, Bainbridge, Greenfield, Circleville, Washington CH, Ripley, Sinking Spring, and Chillicothe, Ohio. Shattered Hart, set in West Union will be coming soon. She has also started Whispers which is a sequel to The Smelly Man and is set in Hillsboro, Ohio She spent many of her childhood years in these areas and enjoys writing of places with which she is familiar.
